   In Win Media player you'd apply the "Equalizer" to do it.

   On any Windows operating system, you can only arrange bass and treble if the drivers for the audio device support those options.

   On Windows 7 rt click the volume icon in tray > open volume mixer > double click the Device icon.

   I utilise iTunes.

   Tony, I did that and got to the sounds tab, simply no EQ.

   Tony, the drawback to iTune'due south EQ is it must be manually applied to ea melody. I'm looking for a way to give a little treble boost to the system no matter what plays (music, video,etc).

    Establish information technology.
    Now what directory practise I put it in and so it volition auto outset when I open iTunes.
    Or where do I put information technology so it fires up when the reckoner boots (to my presets)?
    I'm wanting to give a slight treble boost (was hands set in XP, but win seven omitted the controls).

    It should appear in Control Panel. You should be able to set your listening preference and so forget it. If not at that place, just run the file, set preferences.

    Well, virtually.
    The settings are non staying.

    I read this, merely am not sure how to practise it...

    1. Download the AC'97 Audio Codecs from the Realtek website for Windows vii (choose the Cipher-file)
    ii. Extract ONLY rtlcpl.exe from the directory for your system ("Vista" for 32-bit Vista/7, "Vista64″ for 64-flake Vista/7)
    I don't think it will matter which i you pick actually, both are 32-flake programs, both work, but they're not the same files

    I'm fine 'till here...

    If you lot desire to save the settings for later installations, the Equalizer presets are saved in the registry nether the following key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avance\AC97 Audio\EQ

    If you want to save the settings for afterward installations means if you have to reinstall Windows and your hardware y'all can utilise that exported registry central to chop-chop merge your presets, rather than manually configure them.
    Put it anywhere except where the dominicus doesn't smoothen! Put on another drive, cd, usb thumb drive, dvd, floppy, etc. It's a backup of your preset configuration.

    Now I get it, simply how practice I get the EQ settings to remain on the computer then that when I fire up they are present and active?
    Right now they aren't working. I have the Realtek EQ but it'southward non holding my settings.
